2020 will remain in the history of the country and of the world as the year of COVID-19, the disease which made the world grind to a halt overnight and confined the Portuguese to their homes for over a month. This confinement coincided with the Easter celebrations and, so that churchgoers were not deprived from this celebration, Vila-Chã and Codal parish decided to celebrate the Eucharist of Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord behind closed doors, but opening the “online doors” to all churchgoers, in a total of over 1506.
